Florida Residential Real Estate Foreclosure Facts:

Florida continues to be one of the leading foreclosure markets in the United States. During the first half of 2009, it had the third-highest foreclosure rate in the U.S., at 3.08% (1 in every 33 homes) receiving at least one foreclosure filing. In the same period, Florida trailed only California in total foreclosure filings, at 268,064, which was a 7% increase from the previous six months and a 42% increase from the first half of 2008, according to industry analyst RealtyTrac.
